CAT-TAG is developing the first smart GPS collar designed specifically for cats, with real-time tracking, virtual fence alerts, breakaway safety, and digital ID. Our mission is to protect our curious companions while providing peace of mind to their guardians.

The Role

We are looking for an Android Developer with expertise in Kotlin/Java, the Android SDK, and accessibility best practices. You will play a key role in building and scaling our mobile app and ensuring flawless performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core features of the Android app using Kotlin/Java.
• Integrate BLE/GPS modules and real-time notification systems.
• Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG).
• Collaborate with backend engineers, QA testers, and UI/UX designers.
• Write clean, testable, and scalable code.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in Android development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin/Java and Android SDK.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and working with Firebase/GraphQL.
• Proven knowledge of accessibility.
• Experience with testing frameworks and CI/CD workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose.
• Experience working with BLE/IoT integrations.
• Prior experience in a startup or product-focused company.
